The first part of Genesis 1:3 is often overlooked. If glanced over casually—without slow and deliberate reading—the phrase “And God said…” will just seem like ordinary words. The depth and impact can easily be missed. Yet, contained within these three words is the Bible's first insight into the nature of the greatest Being: the God who speaks.

This opening verse invites the audience not to scientific scrutiny or philosophical pondering, but to worshipful witnessing.
